1. Who We Are
Threado ("we", "us", or "our") is a SaaS platform that helps creators grow their presence on Meta Threads by providing AI-powered content creation, scheduling, analytics, and engagement tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our services at threado.app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information: • Account Information: Your name, email address, and password (or OAuth credentials via Google Sign-In) when you register. • Threads Account Data: When you connect your Threads account, we store your Threads user ID, username, profile picture, and a long-lived access token required to publish content and retrieve analytics on your behalf. • Content You Create: Drafts, published posts, scheduled threads, AI-generated content, voice persona settings, and content strategy settings you save within the platform. • Usage Data: Feature interactions, page views, session duration, and error logs to help us improve the product. • Payment Information: We use Freemius as our payment processor. We do not store your credit card number. Freemius handles all payment processing and shares only subscription status and plan information with us.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: • Authenticate you and manage your account session. • Connect to the Meta Threads API on your behalf to publish posts, retrieve analytics, and manage replies. • Personalize AI-generated content based on your voice profile, niche, and content strategy settings. • Send important transactional emails (account notifications, billing receipts). • Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve platform features and performance. • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Meta Threads API Data
Threado integrates with the official Meta Threads API. By connecting your Threads account, you grant Threado permission to: • Read your Threads profile (username, name, profile picture). • Publish single posts and thread sequences on your behalf. • Read your post metrics (views, likes, replies, reposts). • Manage replies and engagement on your posts. • Delete posts you choose to remove from within Threado. We only access data that is strictly necessary for the features you actively use. We do not sell your Threads data to third parties. You can revoke Threado's access at any time from your Threads account settings.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in MongoDB Atlas (hosted in the United States). We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for all data in transit. Access tokens for Threads are stored encrypted at rest. We implement server-side authentication checks and rate limiting to protect against unauthorized access.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers strictly necessary to operate Threado: • Meta (Threads API) — to publish and retrieve content on your behalf. • MongoDB Atlas — database hosting. • Vercel — application hosting and edge infrastructure. • Upstash / QStash — background job scheduling for post delivery. • Freemius — subscription billing and payment processing. • OpenRouter — AI content generation (we send only your topic and settings, never your credentials). • Umami Analytics — anonymous, privacy-first usage analytics (no cookies, no personal data).
7. Cookies
We use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication (NextAuth.js). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can review our full Cookie Policy at threado.app/cookies.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you. • Request correction of inaccurate data. • Request deletion of your account and associated data. • Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis. • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. 9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
10. Children's Privacy
Threado is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Threado after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
